The Role of the CISO in a Digitally Transformed Organisation
As a follow up to the work undertaken with techUK in 2020 and 2021 around the role of the CISO, JC Gaillard, Founder & MD, Corix Partners, was invited to take part in a podcast on the theme as part of the techUK podcast series.
Released on 19 January 2022, the podcast explores the themes developed in the techUK 2021 report “The Role of the CISO in a Digitally Transformed Organisation” which highlights the complexities surrounding the role of the Chief Information Security Officer.
Other speakers included Paul D’Cruz from Microsoft and Martin Borrett from IBM, and the session was chaired by Jill Broom.

You don’t have to go far these days to find security professionals complaining about skills shortages, and countless media outlets relaying their views.
But there are at least two sides to this argument and the situation requires a more balanced approach. The security industry needs to rebuild its narrative to attract and retain more raw talent at all levels.
