Corix Partners is active at a number of levels in the wider cyber security community in the UK and abroad. This is a summary of the activities which we have undertaken during August and September 2016.
Corix Partners are delighted to announce that we are now able to supply our services to public sector organisations in the UK through the Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) G-Cloud 8 framework. The CCS acts on behalf of the Crown to drive savings for the taxpayer and improve the quality of commercial and procurement activity.
Corix Partners are delighted to announce that, since late August, some articles from the Corix Partners blog and its Linkedin feed are also available on The Digital Transformation People website as part of their “Cyber Security” channel.
On 7th September 2016, Corix Partners hosted a roundtable discussion with a number of IT and Insurance executives to explore the complex topics around “Cyber insurance” and the associated challenges.
This roundtable was aimed at structuring a new whitepaper on “Cyber Insurance” to be published during the last quarter of 2016.
Corix Partners attended “Consent Tech: Creating Sustainable Real Consent” event hosted by the Personal Data & Trust Network at the Digital Catapult Centre, Euston Road, London on 26th September 2016.
Members of the Contest working group have been working on innovating and engineering solutions to provide ‘real consent’. These solutions provide the ability for individuals to track where and when they have given content to use their personal data. Further, they deliver the capability for an individual to withdraw consent.
The demonstrations provided an excellent insight into how consent to use personal data can be tracked and managed which can solve an important part of this issue.
JC Gaillard, MD & Founder, Corix Partners, – himself a 1991 alumni – has been associated since Q4 2015 with the relaunching of a “Cyber Security” thematic group within the alumni association of TelecomParisTech, and is now co-animating an initiative centred on “Cyber Security and Enterprise Culture” which has held two planning meetings on 30th June and 26th September 2016 at TelecomParisTech, rue Barrault, Paris. The group is now fully in the process of defining its 2017 deliverables.
The group is also working with Telecom Evolution on the organisation of a Cyber Security conference to be held in Paris on 9th November 2016 as part of the “Telecom Paris Talks” series. More details can be found here, together with a list of speakers and details on the venue.
