Corix Partners is active at a number of levels in the wider cyber security community in the UK and abroad. This is a summary of the activities which we have undertaken during February and March 2016.
Corix Partners were delighted to attend the Next World Capital thought-leadership event on Big Data at The Dorchester, Park Lane, London on 2nd February 2016.
This is part of our long-standing association with Next World Capital’s European Advisors Group, a network of top executives from many of the largest companies across Europe, aimed at accelerating the growth of Next World Capital’s portfolio companies through partners, channels and direct customers.
Next World Capital (NWC) is an international, early-revenue stage venture capital firm that invests in leading enterprise technology companies in the software, internet and mobile sectors. NWC is headquartered in San Francisco with additional offices in London and Paris.

Corix Partners attended the IoTUK Thematic Research Day, held at the Digital Catapult Centre, Euston Road, London on 1st March 2016.
The focus of the day was to explore security for the Internet of Things, and fitted within the research work stream initiated in 2015 by Corix Partners around the security and privacy implications associated to the convergence of IoT, BigData and Cloud technologies.

JC Gaillard, MD & Founder, Corix Partners, – himself a 1991 alumni – has been associated since Q4 2015 with the relaunching of a “Cyber Security” thematic group within the alumni association of TelecomParisTech, and attended two positioning meeting for the activities of the group on 4th February and 10th March 2016 at TelecomParisTech, rue Barrault, Paris.
The group, which is now formally established and will launch officially at an event in Paris in late May, aims at building concrete activities amongst alumni communities, drawing on the experience of the alumni themselves and the research capacity of the school.
The group aims to start work during Q2 2016 and produce its first deliverables by Q1 2017.
